Ohio-Based Jewelry Designs on Display

Ohio-Based Jewelry Designs on Display

Today brings with it the third installation of the Collier West month long focus on Ohio based designers.  Visits from designers and entrepreneurs from both the lines of Heather Moore and Lori Leavitt proved to be productive in showcasing beautiful jewelry from Northern Ohio.

Close to the heart and hours from now, will be the debut of the creations for the Pont Neuf Jewelry line.  Launched in October, as a mix of curated men’s and women’s jewelry and personal accessories, tonight showcases original designs incorporating vintage findings and the eclectic style of yours truly.   Pieces vary from the influences of Chanel to the verdigris of an antique coach’s whistle. I am enthusiastic, humble and curious as to the reactions I may receive.

Fast approaching are the final days of the casting call for Ohio based designers to be showcased at Collier West. If attempting to become a jewelry designer has taught me anything, it is further the enormous appreciation for the talents of the artisan.  Hours of concept, creation, disappointment, marketing, passion and joy go into each and every craft. I have been delighted and honored by the considerations that we have received in response to our post.  I can guarantee that there will not be one finalist, but several folks in which to champion.

Next week brings Thanksgiving, the infamous Michigan game and the close of November.  Grateful to a community that supports our local efforts, businesses and developments. You may only hear me do this once…but it seems appropriate….”O” “H”….
