Eamonn J. McCabe
EJ McCabe photographer was born in London in 1959. After getting his start in London working on iconic 80’s magazines I-D and The Face, Eamonn was discovered by Anna Wintour, current Editor in Chief of American Vogue, who asked him to work for British Vogue. Shortly afterwards, and several shoots later, he moved to New York City where he worked for several international magazines, Vogue, and Andy Warhol’s Interview. Eamonn won Fashion Photographer of the Year Award in 1987, which was presented to him by Princess Diana.
More recently, Eamonn is concentrating on personal projects, including his first photography essay book called "About a Village," published by Francis Lincoln Publishers, London. The flower project was started 4 years ago. Plants – mostly at the end of their lives – are collected on his walks in public parks, where fascinating structures transform and become other worlds. He lives and works in London and Brooklyn.
