Hudson River Project:

"This series of photographs were taken in 2024 from an original photo idea taken from the Amtrak train in 2023.
I wanted to recreate the experience of the fleeting landscapes I experienced, rushing past the window, one by one on my way to the town of Hudson ,NY. I did the journey again in December 2024 , this time with my camera.
What I found fascinating was the almost cinematic experience of watching a movie, seated and lost in my thoughts. Capturing the moment required quick composition and preparedness as the landscapes were approaching.
What I enjoyed was the reportage style but also the discipline of knowing what I wanted, a landscape- two terms that are normally not associated together in photography.
I wanted to capture the almost ghostly calmness of the Hudson river, and its little islands, a contrast to the Hudson River New Yorkers experience in the city."
