"I am obsessed with creating beauty in the world. How to see color and atmosphere and attempt to translate my vision into an edited reality in two dimensions for others to see is a great joy.
At Cornell University, I learned how to draft, how to design and how to put representation to work. Several years after graduation from Cornell, I obtained an Architectural Masters Degree at Columbia University.
As I worked in various architecture firms – including my own for many years – I gained insight into how to build buildings as I developed an intense understanding of axonometric drawings, section diagrams, and computer rendering. I worked as an architect for 25 years, but I have since become far more interested in creating form in a new way. Now I work to communicate my vision of color and form through plein air watercolor painting, inspired by the natural world, gardens, and the urban landscape."
