About the Artist

By merging expressionistic paint work with machine embroidery, I transform landscapes into tactile vistas. I begin the process on canvas where bold strokes of acrylic paint establish a visceral atmosphere.  Once the paint dries, the sewing machine acts as a secondary brush. Rapid directional stitching cuts across the abstract blocks of color using varying thread weights and tensions to define sharp ridge lines and delicate foliage. The juxtaposition of fluid, spontaneous paint and mechanized thread creates a tension that pulls the viewer into a wild yet meticulously structured scene.

The art of textile work has always been a silent language of preservation- a way to stitch memory into the literal fabric of time. When we look at ancient tapestries, we see stories through the rhythmic cadence of needle and thread- a cultural coding where every motif represents a lineage, a community, or a quiet truth. I bring these ancient impulses to the modern era using digital embroidery to translate a person’s emotional connection to landscapes into precise machine language. This fusion doesn’t dilute the storytelling but rather allows me to mirror  layers of personal history, memory, and identity  etched into the physical terrain that shapes how we experience the world.
